Tom, they are called FigFours. They are for practising dry-tooling on indoor walls - they are a pair of wooden sticks shaped like a bent technical axe, but instead of a pick they have rubber loops that you hook around suitable holds. They are a lot of fun. AlpKit will be marketing them next year
